Etsy tag generator
Etsy gives every listing 13 tags, and buyers find you through them. SpeedList looks at the photo, works out what the product is, who it is for and when it is bought, and writes 13 tags that fit Etsy’s rules. Then you edit anything you want and publish.
What the tags look like
For a patriotic tank top the generator wrote: made in america, 4th of july shirt, patriotic tank top, stars and stripes, usa pride, american flag tee, independence day, memorial day shirt, summer tank, red white blue, usa gift, patriotic gift, fourth of july. Multi-word phrases, mixed intent (the occasion, the style, the gift angle), no repeats, all under 20 characters.
The rules it follows
- 13 tags, because an empty tag slot is a search you cannot show up in.
- 20 characters or fewer per tag, letters, numbers and spaces only. Anything longer is shortened or replaced, never silently dropped at publish time.
- No duplicate tags, and no tag that only repeats another tag with the words reordered.
- Phrases, not single words. Buyers type “linen table runner”, not “linen”.
Tags for one listing or a whole batch
Generate for a single listing in the editor, or bulk create: drop a folder of photos, or point SpeedList at a Google Drive folder, and every photo becomes a listing with its own title, tags and description, generated in the background. Bulk edit can then add a seasonal tag to all of them, remove one, or replace the set.
Titles and descriptions come with it
Tags rarely make sense on their own. The same generation writes the title (140 characters, the strongest phrase first), the description and the attributes Etsy asks for, so the listing tells one consistent story.

- They are written from your photo, not pulled from a fixed list. Two shops uploading different products get different tags.
- Can I keep my own tags and only fill the empty slots?
