How to bulk edit Etsy listings

Option 1: Etsy’s Shop Manager

1. 1Open Shop Manager, then Listings.
2. 2Tick the listings you want to change, or filter first and select all on the page.
3. 3Open Editing options at the top of the list and pick a field.
4. 4Apply and confirm.

Fields Etsy lets you change this way include prices, quantities, tags, materials, shop section, shipping profile and renewal option. Edits apply per page of results, so with many listings you repeat the steps page by page.

What Shop Manager cannot do

• Find and replace inside titles or descriptions.
• Add a phrase to the start or end of every title.
• Add, remove or reorder photos across many listings.
• Change variations, personalization, processing time or attributes in bulk.
• Save a set of changes and apply it again later.
• Show you the result before it is live.

Option 2: a bulk editor that syncs your shop

1. 1Connect your shop through Etsy’s sign-in (OAuth). SpeedList syncs listings, sections, shipping profiles and inventory.
2. 2Filter and select the listings. Filters cover state, section, tags and text in titles.
3. 3Choose the change: text, tags, price, photos, category, shipping, variations or a template.
4. 4Publish. Changes go back through the same API, as drafts or live.

Common bulk edits, step by step

• Seasonal tags: Tags, add, type the tag, publish. Remove it the same way in January.
• Raise prices 10% and round to .99: Price, increase by percent, 10, rounding .99.
• Move listings to a new section: Section, set, pick the section.
• Add a size chart as the last photo: Photos, add, after.
• Replace an old shop name in descriptions: Description, find and replace.

Things to know before you start

• Editing an active listing does not cost a listing fee. Renewing or publishing new listings does.
• Etsy limits API calls per second, so large batches take minutes, not seconds. A good tool queues the work and keeps going if you close the tab.
• Publish as drafts first if you want to see the result on Etsy before it goes live.
