How to upload multiple listings to Etsy at once

1. Copy an existing listing

In Shop Manager, each listing has a Copy action. It duplicates the category, shipping, variations and text so you only replace photos, title and tags. It is the fastest built-in way, but it is still one listing at a time and each copy is published separately.

2. A tool that uses the Etsy API

Etsy’s Open API lets approved apps create listings, upload photos and set inventory. A listing tool connects with your Etsy login (OAuth), you build the listings in the tool and publish them in one batch. Listing fees are the same as publishing from Etsy: $0.20 per listing when it becomes active.

3. Create listings from photos

If your products are photographed, the photo is most of the listing. SpeedList’s bulk create takes a folder of photos (drag them in, or point it at a Google Drive folder) and makes one listing per photo, or groups several photos into one listing. The title, 13 tags, description and attributes are generated in the background, a template fills in category, shipping, variations and pricing, and the batch publishes as drafts or live.

4. Import a spreadsheet

If you already have the products in a CSV (an export from another platform, or your own sheet), import it, map the columns to Etsy fields, review, and publish. The CSV upload page lists what the file should contain.

Before you publish a big batch

• Decide drafts or live. Drafts let you check a few on Etsy before the rest go live, and cost nothing until activated.
• Set the shipping profile and section on the batch first. It is one bulk edit instead of a hundred clicks later.
• Check SKUs: every listing, and every variation, should have its own.
• Expect the publish to take minutes. Etsy rate-limits API calls, so batches are queued.
